Open to the general public in July 2019, The Great Light and Dark Show brought people together by celebrating local history, local science, and art. It also considered how the changing environment is affecting Totland (International Dark Sky Status).
Displays and demonstrations were provided by: Freshwater and Totland Archive Group, Dark Wight Skies, Vectis Astronomical Society, Totland Parish Council, Island Planetarium, The Hooke Society, AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), Dimbola Museum and Gallery.
Artworks and music were created and performed by pupils from St Saviour’s RC Primary School.
